Casa Loma is one Toronto attraction sure to appeal as much to your imagination as to your sense of adventure. Built over a three-year period from 1911 to 1914, Casa Loma is a modern-day castle with a medieval design. The architecture of Casa Loma combines elements of Romanesque, Gothic and Norman. The result is an enchanting destination, where visitors will discover secret passageways, an 800-foot tunnel leading to the Casa Loma stables, a Great Hall with a 60-foot-high ceiling, and a pair of towers offering scenic views to those willing to make the climb. Casa Loma attractions also include the estate gardens, which feature a Secret Garden and several other specialty garden areas spread over five acres. During blooming season, the Casa Loma gardens come alive with colorful displays of wildflowers, azaleas, tulips, rhododendrons, 75 varieties of roses, and more.
Originally the home of noted Canadian financier Sir Henry Pellatt, Casa Loma belongs to the City of Toronto. The historic mansion takes its name, Casa Loma, from the Spanish words for “house on the hill.”
Casa Loma is available for photo shoots, wedding ceremonies, birthday parties, cocktail receptions, corporate functions and other special events.
