Toronto’s CN Tower, long known as the world’s tallest building, dominates the downtown Toronto skyline. At more than 553 metres (or 1,815 feet) in height, the CN Tower is a popular Toronto attraction that offers unrivalled views of the Ontario capital and its surroundings. Visitors to the CN Tower may enjoy sightseeing from four different observation levels, including a glass floor that’s two-and-a-half inches thick and sits well over a thousand feet above the city below. The highest of the CN Tower observation levels is the Sky Pod, which features a panoramic view of metro Toronto from an altitude of 447 metres (or 1,465 feet). CN Tower highlights also include the award-winning 360 Restaurant, a revolving restaurant that’s home to the highest wine cellar in the world. Among the other CN Tower attractions are a 10,000-square-foot marketplace, the Himalamazon motion theatre ride, an arcade and a documentary film about the CN Tower construction. Although the Toronto telecommunications tower is billed as the world’s tallest building, the CN Tower is considerably shorter than the Burj Dubai, being built in the Middle Eastern country of Dubai.
